We help increase the opportunities for people to take part in health and social care research, which will lead to better care, treatments and health-preventative measures now and in the future.

We are hosted by Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, although we work with every NHS trust in south London and other care providers in the region.
The principles of the NIHR and the core values of CRN South London's partner organisations run through everything we do. We work with NHS trusts, Integrated Care Boards and other qualified providers of NHS services, social care and where ever there are healthcare needs. Our aim is that research occupies the place it deserves in health and care providers' day-to-day work. Find out how we support research across south London.
We are passionate about how research can contribute to patient care and disease prevention. We work collaboratively with NHS providers, social care and public health to translate that passion into the effective delivery of studies across south London. Our Research Delivery Managers (RDMs) work to support a diverse research study portfolio.
Our ENRICH network brings together care home staff, residents and their families with researchers. It provides a toolkit of resources to help care homes make the most of research and researchers to set up and run studies effectively and collaboratively in care homes. Your ENRICH local contact is available to answer any questions or queries.
We also support the Government’s strategy for UK life sciences by improving the environment for commercial contract clinical research in the NHS and social care in the region.
We provide the practical support that researchers in south London need to carry out high-quality clinical and other health-related research studies in various health and social care settings to benefit our local patient population.
Our approach for the current financial year is outlined in a two-page strategy document. If you want to read any of our annual report documents, our local engagement strategy or any other document, please email crnsouthlondon@nihr.ac.uk.
