Patient Recruitment Centre: Exeter

Welcome to the Patient Recruitment Centre: Exeter

We are dedicated to setting up and delivering late phase commercial clinical trials in the NHS at pace and scale. We are one of five national Patient Recruitment Centres that work collaboratively, through an innovative collective model, to make it easier and quicker to deliver commercial research in the UK.

By attracting more commercial research to the UK, we also increase opportunities for NHS patients to access cutting edge treatment and therapies that are not yet widely available through the NHS. We work across the region, through our partners and stakeholders, to ensure as many people as possible are given an opportunity to take part.

About Us

Here at the PRC: Exeter, we are dedicated to providing a service designed with the research participant at the heart of what we do. From ensuring our Centre is welcoming and accessible, to providing dedicated one to one clinical contact, we aim to deliver a personalised medical experience for everyone who enrols in a research study.

Hosted by the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (Previously the Royal Devon & Exeter NHS Foundation Trust), we span across 2 acute hospitals, 17 community hospitals and a range of community, specialist and primary care services, with core services being provided to 615,000 people across Devon.

Our experience working with other NHS providers and charitable partners has enabled us to successfully deliver across health sectors and health conditions.
