The Clinical Research Network, North West Coast helps to ensure clinical trials are delivered in an effective way so that key research questions can be answered. Our work allows new medicines, treatments and care pathways to be developed which help to improve care in the NHS and the social care system.

The Clinical Research Network in the North West Coast (CRN NWC) is a ‘network’ that comprises of 41 NHS partners consisting of 22 NHS Trusts and 19 Clinical Commissioning Groups. The region stretches across 4 counties from South Cheshire to South Cumbria. We are hosted by Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust have come together to become Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust from 1 October 2019. Prior to this The Clinical Research Network, North West Coast was hosted by The Royal Liverpool Hospital.
