Study Support Service

Our Study Support Service helps researchers and the life sciences industry plan, set up and deliver high quality research to time and target in the NHS in Yorkshire and Humber.

We provide this service for all studies eligible for our support, regardless of location, study type, study size, therapy or research area. Whether your study is medical, diagnostic, pharmaceutical or bio-tech, we can help. Our national structure connects individual research sites to enable a 'do once and share' approach to study delivery, which means you benefit from country-wide expertise and experience.

Our local Clinical Research Network staff are based in the NHS and work closely with Research and Development offices and research teams at the sites involved in your study. They provide access to best practice study tools and resources that minimise duplication across sites.

Our service focuses on working together to add value during study planning and set up activities which underpins the successful delivery of the studies we support.

The Agile Research Team

The Agile Research Team (ART) is made up of staff from a broad range of backgrounds who all have significant experience in delivering research in a range of settings and across a number of clinical specialisms.

The objective of the ART is to increase opportunities for patients to take part in clinical research and to provide a fair, equitable and transparent research staffing resource to all NHS, public health and social care organisations within our region working on portfolio research studies.

Find A Clinical Trial (FACT) App

We have launched an online search tool designed to help you easily identify cancer clinical research studies that are running in the Yorkshire & Humber region. This tool links to the NIHR portfolio of current NHS research studies, and will allow users to filter a list of studies currently running in the region by disease area, specific diagnosis, and local NHS sites.
