South West Research Awards Go Digital

Awards web image v2 0

Earlier in the year we were delighted to share with you the list of nominees and shortlisted nominees for our Research Awards for 2019/20. Following the impact of Covid-19 we cancelled the face to face award presentation and ceremony event which aimed to celebrate the best and brightest research contributions from across the region. During the past 6 months, our focus moved to ensuring the set up and delivery of Urgent Public Health Studies and restarting studies paused because of the pandemic.

We have seen some excellent practice, innovation and commitment to supporting COVID research across the region. Never has research been considered more important and we want to thank everyone for their contributions to this. Now is the time to continue to celebrate the achievements and contributions of staff and teams for their commitment to research for last year. We will be planning a further event to celebrate the amazing contributions of staff across all organisations early next year.

The virtual awards ceremony will reveal the winners of the NIHR, Clinical Research Network, South West Peninsula, Research Awards for 2019-20.

Discover the winners and shortlisted runners up in each of the 12 award categories.

The virtual ceremony lasts for 17 minutes and so please join us in celebrating innovation and excellence in health and care research across Cornwall, Devon, and Somerset.

Make yourself comfortable, get ready for some excitement and join in live on social media, using the hashtag #SWRes2020, as the awards are announced.

The virtual ceremony will be available to watch after the broadcast for those not able to attend at that time. We will also be announcing the winners on social media.

Winners will receive a trophy and runners up a framed certificate to mark their achievements. We will be in contact with you all to arrange a presentation in a Covid-19 safe manner.

Many thanks to everyone for bearing with us and we look forward to celebrating with you in person at some point in the future.
