Janssen vaccine shows effective COVID-19 protection
A COVID-19 vaccine trialled in Oxfordshire GP practices is 75% effective against moderate to severe infection, studies have found.
The ENSEMBLE 2 study from The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson found the vaccine is 100% effective against severe and critical infections.
The global study included recruited at West Oxfordshire’s Windrush Medical Practice, Witney and Eynsham Medical Group, Eynsham in 2020.
More than 470 adults took part in the study, which provided two doses 56 days apart.
