600,000 participants have taken part in studies supported by the CRN North West London

A new milestone has been achieved by the NIHR Clinical Research Network (CRN) North West London. Over 600,000 participants have taken part in studies supported by the Network since it opened in 2006.

"A huge thank you to everyone!"

Dr Robina Coker, Clinical Director at the CRN North West London, said:

"Reaching this milestone is a wonderful tribute to those working in research in North West London, who are helping to make research an everyday part of good quality health and social care.

"Just as importantly it’s a tribute to all those volunteers taking part and inspiring others to do the same. We could not carry out research and benefit from the results without their involvement.

"A huge thank you to everyone!"

In recent years the NIHR has made it even easier to get involved in research through the launch of the Be Part of Research website. It’s a simple way to find relevant studies to take part in.

And more recently, the COVID-19 vaccine research registry launched for people interested in volunteering in vaccine research.
