Thames Valley researchers wear #Red4Research

Research staff wore red to show their support for the healthcare staff and patients involved in COVID-19 studies.

The #Red4Research campaign on Friday 3 April encouraged people to post a photo of themselves on social media wearing red and holding a placard with a message of support for research.

Photos of staff supported by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Clinical Research Network Thames Valley and South Midlands (LCRN) are on the network’s Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn pages.

The campaign was created by Sally Humphreys, nurse, researcher and chair of the NHS Research and Development Forum research management working group.

It highlighted the global efforts research is taking to combat COVID-19, including NIHR-backed studies into tests, treatments and a vaccine for the virus.
