Practice manager awarded CRN Greater Manchester Certificate of Achievement

A practice manager who has played a big part in research delivery has been awarded the CRN Greater Manchester Certificate of Achievement.

The certificate is a recognition scheme run by CRN Greater Manchester and is presented to deserving teams or individuals who have made a valuable contribution to the delivery of health and care research in the region.

Lauren Clarence is the Practice Manager at St Gabriel’s Medical Centre in Prestwich. Lauren’s nomination praised her contribution to research at the practice, where she has shown untiring willingness and demonstrated expert knowledge of the primary care setting to enable studies to be delivered, enabling patients to have the opportunity to take part.

The certificate presentation was made by CRN Greater Manchester representatives Jo Henry, Delivery Team Matron; Louise Woodhead, Team Lead Research Nurse; and Ewa Grzegorska, Primary Care Research Support Facilitator.

Lauren said: “It was a lovely surprise for my contribution to research to be recognised by the NIHR CRN Greater Manchester Team. My practice chooses to be research-active as we believe that primary care participation is imperative to the advancement of patient care.”
