Nominate a colleague for International Clinical Trials Day
We are encouraging research staff across the North East and North Cumbria to nominate colleagues who have contributed greatly to clinical research by supporting participants during their research journey. This activity ties in with our annual ‘Be Part of Research’ campaign to coincide with International Clinical Trials Day on 20 May 2021.
Nominated colleagues will receive an e-certificate from NIHR Clinical Research Network North East and North Cumbria in recognition of their efforts. To nominate a colleague, please email nenccommunications@nihr.ac.uk with:
- Your colleague’s name
- Their job title
- Their email address
- A 50-100 word description of their work and achievements.
We will only use this information to send out the e-certificates.
On International Clinical Trials Day we are also encouraging nominated colleagues to share a picture of themselves and their certificate on social media along with the hashtag #BePartofResearch and tagging @NIHRCRN_NENCumb. The deadline submit your nominations is 14 May 2021.
The aim of the ‘Be Part of Research’ campaign is to communicate the value of clinical research and to encourage patients, carers and the public to look for opportunities to be part of research. We would really appreciate your help in promoting positive messages around taking part in research and to raising awareness about clinical studies.
The ‘Be Part of Research’ campaign will run for five weeks from Monday 17 May. You can also support this campaign by showcasing your research, encouraging participants to tell their story, showcasing patient and public involvement, and spreading the word on social media using the hashtag #BePartofResearch.
