Life-changing health research starts with people like you. Together we can give people better lives, now and in the future.

CRN East of England are thrilled to share their new film to raise awareness of health and care research, which you can watch on NIHRTV YouTube now.

It explains the vital part research plays in improving treatments and care happening at hospitals, GP practices, and in wider care around the region. It also highlights the incomparable role that participants have in helping to make research happen.

The film features East of England staff who kindly agreed to make their film debuts, and some of the amazing people who have participated in research in the region.

These include Kim, who has taken part in the UK's first proton-beam therapy trial for breast cancer, Jodie, who has taken part in a vital gestational diabetes study, and David, one of CRN East of England's invaluable Research Champions who also feels he has benefited from people having taken part in research before.
