CRN Greater Manchester recognised at international research awards

NIHR Clinical Research Network Greater Manchester has been recognised at a prestigious global research awards ceremony.

The team was presented with the Bronze Award in the Clinical Site Team of the Year category at the PharmaTimes International Clinical Researcher of the Year Awards 2023.

The Gold Award also came back to the North West as it was won by the Fylde Coast Clinical Research team at Layton Medical Practice.

The black tie ceremony took place in London on 18 May 2023 and was presented by TV doctor Sarah Jarvis. The awards invite clinical researchers from a wide array of job roles and sectors to compete against their peers.

It is described as 'a rigorous, real-world competition that attracts entrants from all over the globe'. Entries were submitted from over 30 countries.

To earn the Bronze Award, the CRN Greater Manchester team progressed through three stages. Judges were impressed with their presentation which outlined how the organisation delivered research during the pandemic and has since adapted those learnings and applied them to the set-up and delivery of non-COVID trials.
