Changes to uploading of recruitment data

The way study teams upload recruitment data is to change in 2019 for trials supported by the NIHR Clinical Research Network Thames Valley and South Midlands (LCRN).

From 1 April, study teams will be required to upload recruitment data for all CRN portfolio studies in real time, at least once a week.

More accurate and detailed data will give the LCRN a better view of the geographical coverage of research activity, helping to facilitate the delivery of research to patients with the greatest health need.

Future developments will also link the data to the payment of excess treatment costs, it is therefore important this data is as accurate and as up-to-date as possible.

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has created a system called Siteline for local study teams to upload recruitment data.

Siteline is the local portfolio management system (LPMS), and it will automatically update Studyline (the system used by R&D departments) and the Central Portfolio Management System (CPMS).

All recruitment data up to April 1 must still be uploaded to CPMS using the current method (CPMS Upload by Lead Site). This data must be submitted by 26 April.

The LCRN has created a website to find more information, relevant documents and details on training.
