Health Research Festival in Greater Manchester

Date: 08 July 2023
Time: 11:00 to 14:00
Location: Manchester

Ever wondered how you can help to improve the health and wellbeing of your community? Or thought about how you can give something back to our tremendous NHS?

Or, maybe you just fancy a bit of fun, an excuse to get out of the house, or something to do with the kids....

Whatever your reason, come and join us in the market place outside Ashton-under-Lyne town hall for a day dedicated to health and care research! Drop-in any time between 11am and 2pm on Saturday 8 July 2023.

Everyone is welcome and entry is free. Please feel free to bring your friends and family!

This event is being held to coincide with celebrations of the NHS' 75th birthday. You'll learn how research contributes to the NHS by saving lives and money - and how you can shape the NHS of the future by being part of research.

You can also expect:

  • Health checks with local community health professionals
  • The chance to meet your local community health and wellbeing support organisations
  • Opportunities to take part in research
  • Balloon modelling, fun and games
  • Free light refreshments

The festival is being organised by Clinical Research Network Greater Manchester, part of the NHS organisation the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR). It's in collaboration with Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust.

If you have any questions about the event, or would like to ask us anything in the meantime about taking part in research, please feel free to get in touch with us at: researchsupport.crngm@nihr.ac.uk

Also, if you're from a health or care organisation and are interested in getting involved, please get in touch.

You can sign-up to hear about different types of research you can get involved with in Greater Manchester and across the North West by visiting Research for the Future.
