The Participant in Research Experience Survey (PRES)

If you have recently taken part in a research study, then we would like to hear from you!

What is PRES?

The Participant in Research Experience Survey (PRES) is a short, anonymous, online questionnaire about how you found taking part in research. Your answers will help us understand how we can make research experiences better for participants.

What will you ask me about?

We will ask you about the information you were given before taking part in the research study and about your interactions with the research team.

We will also ask you how long you have been on the study and whether you would consider taking part in research again.

You will also have the chance to provide feedback in your own words.

How can I complete the survey?

First, speak to your research contact.

You can complete the survey:

  •  at your appointment
  • at home in your own time

If you want to do the survey at your appointment, your research contact will give you a digital device with the survey page already open on it. This option is subject to a digital device being available at the time.

If you don’t have a face-to-face appointment or if you choose to do the survey at home, your research contact will give you a code to enter on the survey website. Once you are at home, visit myresearchexperience.com and enter your code on the website to start the survey.

If you would like to receive a link to complete the survey via email, please get in touch with your research contact with your name and email address.

By providing your details, you agree that you are happy for the research team to contact you about the Participant in Research Experience Survey.

Your data will be held in line with your research organisation’s privacy policy. Please ask your research contact for further information.
