CRN North Thames Awards judging criteria

• Judges should be looking for evidence across six categories: innovation, impact, reach, engagement, EDI and ambition.
• The achievement, contribution or activities outlined in the nomination should have occurred in the CRN North Thames region
• The nominee must have supported NIHR portfolio activity within the CRN North Thames region
  Scores for each category will be a maximum of 5: 0=reject, 1=poor, 2=inefficient, 3=adequate, 4=effective and 5=excellent
• Max score per application would be 30
• Where appropriate judges can score on applications from their respective sites but cannot score applications they themselves have submitted
• Individuals were not allowed to nominate themselves and should be excluded from scoring
• Teams were allowed to nominate themselves and should be included in the scoring
• Judges will be invited to suggest whether each applicant should be rejected or nominate for award
• Once all the scores are collected, where there are conflicting scores, the final decision will made by the CRN North Thames Executive Group
• All judging comments will remain confidential to the judges
• All judging scores will be shared collectively with the other judges and CRN North Thames Executive Group so that decisions on winners can be made
• All judging discussions are confidential and will not be shared or discussed with anyone outside of the judging panel or CRN North Thames Executive Group ahead of the ceremony or thereafter
• Announcements will be made at the CRN Awards event
• Judges will not share confidential material, applications, judging papers or entries with anyone
• Judges will securely delete all judging materials immediately after the judging period.
• Winning success stories may be used in post-event materials to promote best practice and permission will be sought from entrants before publishing these.
