Trial’s first global patient recruited in North West London

A patient in North West London is the first to be recruited globally in the Adult ONS trial.

The patient was recruited by Dr Rakshan Syed at Preston Hill Surgery in Harrow.

Dr Syed said: "We're so proud to have recruited the first global patient to the Adult ONS trial here at Preston Hill Surgery.

"We're committed to offering our patients the opportunity to take part in research that will one day benefit the wider community."

The trial — supported locally by the NIHR Clinical Research Network (CRN) North West London — is exploring ready-to-drink oral nutritional supplements for the management of disease-related malnutrition in adults.

Recruiting a first global patient is a key performance indicator as it shows the CRN North West London and our partners can support the rapid set-up and recruitment of studies.
