Trial into using virtual reality to treat psychosis opens in Oxford

The largest ever clinical trial of virtual reality to treat a mental health disorder opened in the NHS today. 

More than 400 NHS patients with psychosis will be recruited from Bristol, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham and Oxford to take part in the trial, which will last 18 months. It is funded by the NIHR Oxford Health Biomedical Research Centre with support from the NIHR Clinical Research Network Thames Valley and South Midlands.
