South West health and care staff wear #Red4Research

#Red4Research 2022 South West round up

Colleagues from across the South West got involved in #Red4Research on Friday 17 June, to show support for all those participating in, undertaking and supporting COVID-19 and other research.

Started in 2020 by the NHS Research and Development (R&D) Forum, #Red4Research is an opportunity to thank and recognise everyone that makes health and social care research possible. The aim is to get as many people as possible wearing red, and sharing their stories and words of thanks and support on the same day.

Sally Humphreys, #Red4Research Day Founder, said: “Research doesn’t just happen, people make it happen – research participants, patients, professionals, volunteers and regulatory bodies all collectively working together. Research continues to offer a beacon of hope for the future with everybody playing their part.”

As usual the campaign was well supported by R&D and other staff in the South West, with individuals and teams sharing photos on social media under the hashtag #Red4Research.
