South Londoners urged to help shape future research through PRES survey

CRN South London’s Patient and Public Interaction and Engagement Manager, Neha Modha, is urging people to help shape the direction of research through their feedback.

The NIHR’s Participant in Research Experience Survey (PRES) annually asks thousands of people in England who volunteered for health research to give feedback on their experience so that improvements can be made.

The NIHR is expecting CRN South London to achieve 1,400 responses in this financial year and the Network has currently received 505 responses. Neha wants as many research volunteers in south London as possible to complete the PRES survey. She said:

“People’s input into the PRES can really help in improving the design and delivery of research studies both now and in the future. We need to know what is being done well, but also be told about where improvements should be made. I’m pleased with how things are going so far, but I know there is more work that needs to be done.

“Providing your feedback is also an opportunity to thank the researchers and teams who deliver these vital studies in health and social care. I’d also like to say thank you to our colleagues who help us to promote this important survey every single year to research participants across south London.”

You can complete the PRES via CRN South London’s Google Form. Please email crnsouthlondon@nihr.ac.uk if you have any questions, comments or require an alternative way to complete this survey.
