In what has been a very challenging year for nursing, Cancer Research UK is delighted to announce the winner of the Excellence in Cancer Research Nursing category of the 2020 RCNi Nurse Awards – Ben Hood, Senior Research Nurse at the Sir Bobby Robson Cancer Trials Research Centre at Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Ben’s pilot project raising awareness of the important role of clinical research nurses in cancer services has reached over 2,000 student nurses so far, with plans to roll it out to the wider undergraduate nursing community as an e-learning resource in partnership with the NIHR.
