Research Delivery Team showcases work at Royal Surrey Research Café

Emma Serena

CRN Kent, Surrey and Sussex (CRN KSS) Research Delivery Team Leaders Emma Barbon (Sussex) and Serena Gregory (Surrey), spoke at the Royal Surrey Research Cafe in Guildford on 19 May.

The event, organised to mark International Clinical Trials Day, attracted researchers from the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust, the University of Surrey and the NIHR. The Research Café also welcomed clinical staff from the Trust who are interested in research and how to get involved.

Emma and Serena provided a fascinating insight into the work being carried out by the CRN KSS Research Delivery Team in out-of-hospital settings.

Attendees learned about the various research activities their teams are conducting in GP surgeries, care homes, schools and other settings across the region. Read about the Research Delivery Team’s work over the last year.

The Research Cafe was hosted by Professor Aftab Ala, the Trust’s Professional Director of Research and NIHR Lead for Hepatology in Kent, Surrey and Sussex.
