Research Champions Assemble!

Do you know a young person who could be a Research Champion?

If so, send them our way!

Our Young Research Champions have a launch meeting on Saturday 29 October from 2pm - 5pm at the Clinical Research Facility at Birmingham Children's Hospital (BCH).

Participants will be able to learn about research and what the group does, learn new skills and make friends, as well as having some fun!

Travel expenses are paid, and everyone receives a thank you voucher too. The group meets every six weeks on a Saturday.

Carly Tibbins, who runs the group on behalf of the NIHR Clinical Research Network West Midlands, said: ‘We have been established since 2009 but had to change format during the pandemic.

‘It is great that we can now go back to meeting face to face at our original home at BCH and  we are looking forward to working with more researchers to ensure health research in all settings is accessible for children and young people.

‘We want to encourage a diverse range of participants aged 9-16 to join our dynamic group and we are really keen to meet new members.’
