Reimagining Primary Care research delivery in the West of England

On Tuesday 17 September 2019, researchers working in Primary Care sites stretching from Taunton to Oxford gathered in Bristol to discuss the future of Primary Care research delivery.

The day started with an overview of Primary Care research from Phil Evans, GP & Associate Professor of General Practice and Primary Care and CRNCC National Specialty Lead, followed by Beccy Baird, Fellow In Health Policy at the King's Fund, speaking on pressures in General Practice. The third presentation of the day was from Kerry Cooper, Chief Operating Officer of Southern Hampshire Primary Care Alliance on developing Primary Care networks.

Following the presentations, attendees participated in a workshop on the title: How can the CRN promote and work more effectively with practices undertaking research at scale?

There was a huge amount of involvement from everyone who attended, and the CRN would like to thank all of the speakers on the day for their engaging presentations.
