New starters at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust

Four members of staff have joined the Research and Innovation Team at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust.

Bobbie Sanghera (left), a research nurse at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, was the Research Recruitment Implementation Manager at the NIHR Oxford Health Cognitive Clinical Research Facility. She said: “Having taken a gap year out of the NHS to complete some personal projects and travel, I am looking forward to working with the Research and Innovation Team at the trust.”

Research midwife and nurse Mirella Garcia Corredera (second from left) previously worked as a midwife at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. She said: “My role and passion is to give the people I look after the best standards of care. I strongly believe that research is the way forward to achieve this and continue improving patient’s experience.”

Annabel Fane (second from right), a clinical research nurse at Wycombe General Hospital, worked as an intensive care nurse at London’s Hillingdon Hospital. She said: “I am interested in how research has impacted nursing practice over the years and aim to bring my own clinical experiences to contribute to the advances of frontline patient care.”

Dr Nana Theodorou (right) is the Head of Research and Innovation at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. She previously worked at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in roles including Head of Operations for the Sheffield Cancer Clinical Trials Centre. She said: “I work in research as I enjoy supporting the evidence-based advances necessary to optimise patient outcomes.”
