New campaign to showcase careers in research

A new campaign promoting careers in health and social care research is launching today.

#WessexResearchCareers aims to highlight the benefits of a career in research and showcase current job opportunities across Dorset, Hampshire, south Wiltshire and the Isle of Wight.

The campaign, launched by the NIHR Clinical Research Network (CRN) Wessex and its partner organisations, is aimed at those who are new to research or looking to take the next step in their research career.

Over the coming weeks, the campaign will highlight the important role that research plays in the development of health and care services across the UK and globally.

It will show how research has been critical to our response to the coronavirus pandemic, helping to find treatments and develop vaccines which are saving lives around the world.

From making a positive contribution to the care of patients and service users, to working at the forefront of evidence-based medicine and healthcare, the campaign aims to demonstrate the rewards of working in research and to inspire people to consider a research career.

By attracting talent from outside the Wessex region and the NHS, it is hoped that the campaign will support CRN Wessex and its partners to deliver their growing portfolio of high-quality and innovative research.

Already working in research and want to help spread the word about #WessexResearchCareers? It couldn’t be easier to support the campaign:
