LPMS/CPMS Research Activity Integration programme - phase 1 go live

The NIHR Clinical Research Network (CRN) has confirmed that phase 1 of the LPMS-CPMS Research Activity Integration programme went live on 1 May 2019.

As part of the phase 1 go-live - from 1 May, sending of research activity data that has occurred in the financial year 2019/2020 will now be automated between LPMS to CPMS.

Phase 2 of the LPMS/CPMS Research Activity Integration will see study team representatives log in to CPMS and confirm the activity data uploaded by staff involved in recruiting participants at sites - via LPMS, through the click of a mouse.

Once the Phase 2 Go Live date is confirmed, study team representatives will be informed and will receive an e-learning module showcasing the new user-friendly functionality.

NIHR CRN Research Delivery Director, Clare Morgan said: "The integration of our information systems to support more efficient research delivery will be transformational.  Supplying studies to recruit more effectively will allow greater opportunities for people to access research."

NIHR CRN, Head of Research Delivery, Dr Sarah Crawshaw explains: “This digital innovation will deliver near-real time UK wide visibility of research activity data, and will greatly benefit research delivery. We’d like to say a big ‘thank you’ to all partners involved in achieving this significant milestone”
