Professor Ramsey Cutress said, “Breast clinical trial recruitment across the network is excellent, with Wessex ranked fifth highest performing network in the UK in 18/19. We are, however, keen to continue to build on this and work as an integrated team across the region.
“We have therefore organised an evening meeting at Chilworth Manor with dinner to discuss how we might best do this. Invited speakers include Mr Stuart McIntosh from Belfast, Royal College of Surgeons breast surgery specialist lead for trials and chief investigator of the SMALL trial who will discuss trials in development and set-up, Dr Ellen Copson who will discuss co-operation across the network to deliver trials and Lesley Turner who will discuss the patients experience of research and trial participation. We hope you enjoy this meeting but please register early as numbers are limited and places will be on a first come first served basis.”
The event has been organised by the NIHR Clinical Research Network for Wessex. The Wessex region covers Hampshire, Dorset, Isle of Wight and south Wiltshire.
Tickets must be booked in advance via Eventbrite, where there is further information about the event programme and invited speakers.
