CRN Wessex appoint new research delivery manager
Alex Jones has been appointed as CRN Wessex Research Delivery Manager (RDM) for Social Care and Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement. Alex, who is currently the RDM for Divisions 2 and 4, will officially take up the post in September.
Wessex will be the first Clinical Research Network to appoint an RDM for social care. Of the appointment, Geraldine Macdonald a Professor of Social Work at the University of Bristol, said:
"I’m delighted at Alex Jones' appointment as the first research delivery manager dedicated to social care in the CRN. This appointment in CRN Wessex underlines their ongoing commitment to social care research and I hope it will be the first of many such appointments that will nurture growth in high quality social care research."
