CRN South London holds its second Inclusivity Panel face-to-face meeting

CRN South London’s Inclusivity Panel (IP) held its second face-to-face meeting at Guy’s Hospital.

Healthcare professionals, researchers and other stakeholders came together to commit to a few projects for the Inclusivity Panel to deliver over the next 18 months to ensure south London research is inclusive and representative of the local population.

The leadership of the Inclusivity Panel is working on finalising the key IP projects. Panel members also gave updates from the six key work streams and looked at ways to engage young people and break down barriers to research engagement.

Chifundo Stubbs, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Lead for CRN South London, said: “I was delighted to co-lead some fascinating, engaging and passionate conversations about how we break down barriers to research engagement and deliver lasting change for our communities. There is lots of work that needs to be done, but it is a privilege to work with partners who are enthusiastic and determined to tackle these issues head-on.

“We are committed to ensuring all south London voices are heard in our discussions, and I will work hard to ensure that the Inclusivity Panel is as representative of our communities as possible.”
