CRN Kent, Surrey and Sussex Goes Red4Research

Friday 17 June marked Red4Research Day, when people around the country wore red to demonstrate their support for those participating in and advocating health and care research.

Colleagues across the NIHR turned out wearing red outfits, to show their appreciation for all of the researchers, patients and members of the public who continue to support health and care research studies. The CRN Kent, Surrey & Sussex core team was no exception.

Red4Research Day started in 2020, and is intended to show that research relies on collaboration, teamwork and collective effort. The campaign has been supported by people across the world, as well as the UK.

As well as the CRN Kent, Surrey and Sussex, research teams from Trusts across the region also got involved.

This year a "wave of red light" broke over the UK, as landmarks up and down the country were illuminated red in support of Red4Research, starting at the Spinnaker Tower in Portmouth on Thursday evening, and moving north on Thursday and Friday nights.
