Anthony joins team in key role
Anthony Loizou joins CRN North Thames today (20 September) as Business Manager.
Anthony comes to North Thames following a nine-year career in the civil service, most notably in similar positions at Her Majesty's Courts and Tribunals Service and the Department for Work and Pensions.
Anthony, who lives in Norbury, south London, has a degree in Business Management with Marketing from Royal Holloway, University of London, and says that skills he learned while working in the civil service will be used in his new role.
His brief is to ensure the smooth running of the Network's office, to incorporate everything from inbox management to leading on specific projects.
He explained: “I think I have a lot of skills which are transferable, and I am a great advocate for what the Network, and the wider NIHR, does.
“Although this is my first time working close to the NHS, I am excited by the challenge and I look forward to working with a great team.”
Away from work, Anthony enjoys travelling and is currently learning Spanish.
Dr Sharon Barrett, CRN North Thames Chief Operating Officer, said: “I welcome Anthony to the team and we are thrilled that someone with his skills and experience is joining us.
“I look forward to working with him and helping him to settle into his new role.”
