Inaugural Pan-London Cancer Research Fellowship showcase

Date: 05 July 2022
Time: 13:30 to 17:00
Location: Online

This event will be of particular interest to NHS staff interested in research, for instance, prospective fellows, supervisors and clinicians interested in improving early cancer diagnosis and patient outcomes.

Chaired by Professor Stan Kaye, RM Partners Research and Development Director, the programme includes talks from past successful fellows on their work in early diagnosis, reducing variation and inequalities, and personalised care. Dr Clare Shaw, Consultant Dietitian at The Royal Marsden, will share her experience with the fellowship programme as a successful supervisor.

The Pan-London Cancer Alliances Research Fellowship Programme was established in 2015 in partnership with the London cancer alliances and Biomedical Research Centres (BRCs) to support the development of clinical academics taking their first steps into cancer research.

The programme of London-based research fellowships, now in its seventh year, continues to support a wide range of clinical trainees from medical, nursing, and allied health professional backgrounds.

It is supported by the four London-based Cancer Alliances – North Central London Cancer Alliance, North East London Cancer Alliance, RM Partners West London Cancer Alliance, and South East London Cancer Alliance – and the NIHR Biomedical Research Centres at The Royal Marsden and Institute of Cancer Research and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and Imperial College London.
