R-Peak new functionality - recording delays

 

Update - June 2020

Thank you to our GM partner organisations who have all confirmed their use of the R-Peak functionality for recording delays caused by COVID-19.

This really is welcome news which provides us with centralised visibility and a streamlined process for managing and reporting study activity where paused or restarted at site level across GM.

Please continue to use this functionality to record delays. 

We appreciate and acknowledge it will be an ongoing process, study-by-study, as capacity allows the restarting of any NIHR studies that have been paused due to COVID-19.

New R-Peak function for recording COVID-19 delays 

R-Peak now has a new functionality which allows Trust R&D/R&I teams to record/capture research delays caused to NIHR Portfolio studies by COVID-19.

To use this new functionality:

  • please see the properties tab in R-Peak where three fields have been made available for you to record any research delays to Portfolio studies because of COVID 19
  • we have also added a start and end date field just below the impact field so we can record how long the delay lasts 

Based on your activity updates to this Properties tab we (CRN GM) can then report back to the NIHR CRN Coordinating Centre on a weekly basis.

Please note: You cannot access R-Peak over the public internet, only within the NHS network.

To access R-Peak from home, you will need a VPN (Virtual Private Connection) to be set-up by your Trust's IT team. This will allow you to connect remotely to your Trust’ work desktop and use R-Peak from there.
